My Supermax 37-2 drum sander conveyor drive died today. The conveyor is driven by a DC motor controlled by a circuit they call the Intellisand Controller part # 72-2280. The obvious repair would be to order a new circuit board - but there is a burned out resistor on the board (5 k resistor that nows reads 3.2 m) I thought I would try swapping this resistor before a new board.
Anybody know where to source this. It is a wire wound but I cannot tell the rated wattage?

Phil, the suggestions are good, but for a resistor to burn out like that it probably had way too much current through it for some reason. I'd guess a blown or shorted semiconductor component on the board. Like an SCR or voltage regulator maybe. If that's true then a new resistor would likely burn up immediately upon applying power. It's probably best to just replace the board. Sorry.
