Thanks, Jeff

Look at this picture
On the top there is 2 magnetic lights, they get moved around a lot.

On the angle piece there is a lock for the index wheels. this picture its the original its been changed as in the picture above
Hope that answers your question.

Earl,

You seem to have done more mods to your HF than anyone else, how about some pics and a brief write up on what you did and how???:wink_smil

Me too! What's all the pneumatic stuff mounted to the front? This may win the award for the most tricked out HF machine ever!

Next the vacuum system.
it can pull 700 mmhg at the chuck of course you would never use that much unless you wanted to crush some thing

The pump i started with a home made pump but it was just too big and heavy, this is a HF one and it works great

the tank its simple

the filter, gauge and valves, the gauge reads chuck vacuum

And the rotary joint made from PH 2 sealed bearings

Wow, just when i thought I new a little about something...

I don't have a clue how to use 90% of what you just showed...But sure do love what you've done to the HF lathe. Mine's still stock, well except the coupling I had made at my friends machine shop so I could mount a nice chuck to it.
