DeWalt 14.4v drill at Lowes $99.97

I just bought a 14.4v compact drill/driver with case, 2 batteries & charger at Lowe's in Laurinburg. Regular price is 179.00 & it is on sale for 99.97. I have batteries going bad on my old one & you can't buy 2 batteries for that. There was one left in Laurinburg, I called Rockingham & they have two there. Good deal :gar-Bi

Lowes Hanes Mall is out but has 5 on order.

I got one at the Peter's Creek store and they had a couple when I left.

I was going to get two 12V batteries rebuilt at BatteriesPlus for about $72 inc tax so this seemed a reasonable solution.

This is great deal for someone without a drill or looking to upgrade, but make sure that you realize that this is a consumer model, and not the 14.4v XRP. The battery has less power and the transmission(ie, gears) are made of plastic. The price is a new low price , not a sale, so it should be around for a while.

That being said, for the price , it still seems like a good deal.
