One of the few times I forgot to hook up the DC hose to the planer. Usually I just forget to open the blast gate. Thankfully I noticed it aftet the first board.

I just blow it out against the garage door with hopes that a lot falls into the trash can.
Two different piles one day apart from a couple of drawer nightstands I'm making. About 100 gallons (filled three 39 gallon trash can liners)

Yep, just last weekend. While planing the dust collector alarm went off, turned off collector, emptied bin, forgot to turn back on, get covered in chips.

LOL - This is exactly why I upgraded to a planer with dust collection.

Doug, I too have been guilty of forgetting the hose connections and/or opening the blast gate. One of my most problematic oversights was forgetting to attach the DC hose the drum sander...it was only a very brief oversight but the dust hung around the shop for a longtime and went everywhere!

Happens to me often. The worst is when the jointer blocks up. One has to dig inside to get it out.
