Cutting Boards, with my helper

My daughter came down this morning with the grand-kids. I had some cutting boards that I made up over the weekend using some of the lumber I got from Roy G last week.

One of the boards was going to be for my son-in-laws birthday in a couple of weeks, so I let them pick out the one they wanted for him, then we had an 'arts and crafts' party with the butcher block oil. She had a really good time [and so did I]. Maybe I have a little wood worker 'to be' here.

Just thought I'd share.

Thanks, and thanks again for the lumber. I was very surprised with how many pieces I was able to get out of those 2 small blocks of walnut.

Thinking now that I'll print out a photo of her rubbing the oil into the board she picked out for her daddy's birthday. Will make it a little more special for him as well. [Hopefully]
