Hey guys,

What blade do I use in my circular saw to cut thru Corian (type) material? I have an alteration job and must cut thru a service counter top. Am planing on just using an ordinary construction type carbide blade. Am I wrong?

thx for your help,
Bob

more teeth, cut slow, and do it from the bottom. a router may be a better solution. tape and a scoring cut may help with chipout? cutting this stuff does generate heat...... good luck.

Corian was engineered to be workable with standard power tools. High tooth count circular blades and bandsaw blades work fine. That said, I would suggest using carbide tooling and wearing an appropriate respirator.

Well, false alarm, sort of.
Didn't have to cut it afterall. The granite guys showed up and removed the entire length in time for me to start the demo for the alteration I did.
Thx guys for all the input.
Next time I'll know!
