Chair finished

About a month or two ago I meet up with Danmart77 and picked a enough white pine for a few seats I had planned on making. I finally finished my first democratic chair designed by Curtis Buchanan. It was a little easier than the 4 fan back chairs I had previously built. It did not stay with me very long. I gave it to some friends to show my gratitude for the generosity and kindness they have shown me and my family over the many years. It was well received. I am going to be making a couple for myself and one more for charity. Hopefully by the time I get to the one I’m building for charity it will be of slightly higher quality.

Excellent build and it looks especially comfortable. I especially like the faceted tenon ends.

All was split from the log and shaped on the shaving horse with the draw knife.

Stained it with coffee

and then used Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co. mustard color. All wood it white oak and seat is 1 piece white pine.
