I have been working on this one on and off for a while. I don’t usually do Intarsia or segmentation projects. I cut the pieces from scraps of different woods and thickness. 3/8”, 1/4”, and 1/8”.
sanded, shaped, sanded some more. I purchased the frame at the local habitat store. The only paint I used was for the backer. Finish is Danish oil. Pattern is by Anatoly Obelets. He is Ukrainian

Berta, you mentioned that you don't usually do intarsia or segmentation projects...I am not sure why you don't; you are obviously very, very good at it! Beautiful!!

All of the precise cutting. Precise sanding. Fitting. Give me 2 or three hundred cut fretwork any day!
