Folks, I am looking for wood that I can cut into 6-8" squares (obviously close counts) of a variety of wood for my trivets etc. If anybody has any "cutoffs" in their scrap pile and would be willing to share :eusa_pray let me know. I haven't been gluing up pieces because I cut so much out and if they are really used the joint could get subjected to a lot of heat. Hey, it can't hurt to ask...

How thick do you need those pieces to be? I am sure I have a few lying around, probably more in the 6" width range, but I'll look tonight. I know I've got some cherry, maple, and red oak.

I come up with lots of scrap due to having to recut to make up for my screwups. At times I have cherry, maple, mahogany, red oak, and white oak.

Preferably 3/8" to 1/2", but could use thinner or thicker as long as it isn't thicker than 1".
Thanks
