Wow! What would you turn on a lathe that long? I would think there would be a lot of sag in the middle.

well see there was a day if you wanted a round porch column you had to turn it. none of this extruded plastic stuff!

Anything you wanted too :lol::lol::lol:. That extra long bed makes a great place to sit while working on a 3' deep hollow form...just throw the Lazy-boy up there and hollow away.

steady rests. frankly, even that lathe isn't long enough for some turnings, like a small boat's main mast? That lathe is probably almost as long as my car, and probably weighs as much, too!

It is one nice lathe :eusa_droo and just about the right size for porch posts...
