Another Saturday Rendering

I decided to try a little spindle turning and made a handle for a brush I had bought. Nothing spectacular, but maybe it will give a few ideas. I did use one tip I picked up at a woodturning meeting in Hickory last weekend. After drilling the hole for the brush to fit in, I used the forstner bit in a drill chuck in the headstock of my lathe as a drive center for the piece. It worked out very well.

That's cool, it looks like it would feel great in your hand. How are the brush bristles held in place? And what is it's intended use?

Nice but how did you stuff the brush in the hole?:eusa_thin

It is a basting brush that is made to be glued into the hole. I ordered it from www.woodturnerscatalog.com They have a lot of kitchen utensils you can order without handles.
