Just finished my version of the flip top work table featured in Wood magazine.

The top has several coats of Formbys high gloss that I had on hand. Don't know why I had it on hand since I never use high gloss. The Formby's was applied over a coat of de-waxed shellac. I added a coat of paste wax on the top. Just trying to make the top a little less likely to hold on to glue spatter, etc.

This will be used mostly as an assembly table. I will leave it set up unless I need the space. Then it can be folded up and moved out of the way.

Looks good!....................and shinny :gar-La;
Thanks Joe.

+1 Nice job, Mark.:icon_thum:icon_thum

These tables seem to be multiplying 'round here!

You'll have to let us know how they work out.

I know what you mean. They are like rabbits. (or rabbets??) Planning to start using this tomorrow. Building a small cabinet for 'essentials' in the master bath WC.

The table looks good Mark. You should get a lot of use out of it. :icon_thum

Bill

Thanks bill. Hopefully this will help with assemblies that don't quite fit on my narrow workbench.

Mark, your table looks really GREAT! I am sure you will find it very useful, mine is already hard at work. By the way, following your lead, I did apply several coats of wipe-on poly...I had satin finish on hand, so mine isn't very shinny.
