Friday I had my first bandsaw break--scary, but it was over fast and only injury was to wallet. Does that justify purchasing one of those Rikons????

The disease is internet bound now. No one is safe. The only solution to the disease it run out and buy a major tool. While it won't cure the disease (there is no cure) it will alleviate the symptoms for a couple hours.


Just remember no matter how big of a machine you have, there is always one bigger. :rolf:

windknot, I am currently waiting on a big shipment of 8/4 maple and oak that I plan on practicing my resawing technique with.

Get some good quality Lenox Bimetal blades for that puppy. If you are going to do a lot of resawing you might want to buy a carbide band. The best place to get the lenox bands is www.woodcraftbands.com.
