Things to look for with used refrigerated dryer

I've got a line on a used Great Lakes GRF-40a-116 refrigerated air dryer capable of up to 40 scfm to work with my compressor (16 CFM @ 90, 14.1 @ 140 psi) This particular unit uses R134A as the refrigerant, which is attractive to me. Are there any testing procedures or things I should look for...

Things are getting ready to get interesting

I got this log from a co-worker and may have two more coming. I think it will make for some interesting weed pots for nursing homes, or whatever. I am hoping for a cool design when turned. We'll have to wait and see.

Some things have me tied up

Guys and Gals. I have not posted much lately but there is a valid reason. I volunteered to solely build and maintain the websites for our Church. And now for our Christian preschool. We have experienced a year of delays from county, city, and state inspectors that evidently do not play by...

    Voting. Proxies and other things.

One of the things that held us up on the bylaws was that North Carolina Law was not particularly friendly to non profit organizations using "electronic" organization. But in Nov of last year, the state changed a few things. The most important is that we can vote by "email":eusa_danc:eusa_danc Of...

    Administering all things ncwoodworker.net

Ok, then let me change the question. Who is responsible for the whole machine, hosting or not. I have almost no time to do much of anything except getting all the things done that must happen for the NCWWI to be independent of me. When we elect the new BOD, I will not run and I will not accept...

So I've got these Doug Fir brackets a made from ripped down glullams and a walnut front door that I need to finish. I didn't make the door but did the brackets. I really would like to use the best clear finish possible and would like to use the same product for both, if there is one. What...

Dear NCWW, Thank you to all of my friends and fellow woodworkers who have been keeping me in their thoughts and prayers. I haven't posted much on my illness because there wasn't much to tell. Yesterday, I met with a liver specialist who reviewed my CT scans and concurred that the abscess...
