Okay, all you ridge-runners out west, I got us a place for a picnic. It's the Dogwood shelter at the James Crowe Memorial Park, 292 Cherry Mountain Rd., Forest City.Callison Recreation Center on Clay Street in Forest City. Date is 10/1 from 10 AM - 3 PM. This isn't planned to be as 'formal'...

Potential Westernish picnic site

It finally occurred to me that there is a park in Forest City that has covered picnic shelters with power, restrooms, playgrounds and a large sand area suitable for volleyball. I went by and checked - there are 5 shelters most with electricity. There are nice picnic tables there too. The gal...
