Just thought I would share this with you guys, since it worked pretty well with both my table saws. Probably not as solid as a $200+ factory mobile base, but I'm still getting .001 accuracy with my jigs so thats all that matters with me.
In a nutshell, I combined two Harbor Freight mobile...
Thought you might be interested to see the shop-made mobile base I just completed. The reason you might want to build your own as opposed to buying one is that you enjoy the challenge and simply like projects of this type. Not to mention, the cost of materials on this base is appealing.

Drill press platform consists of two pieces 3/4'' plywood, laminated together, using screws and yellow glue. Casters are 3'' diameter from Harbor Freight.
Shop-made adjustable levelers. A hole saw was used to cut walnut foot. 3/8'' hardware includes two T-nuts and threaded rod (bolt), washer, and locking nut. Screw-driver slot cut in top of adjuster.
NCWW now gets me a 'file too large error' with my current 'berry browser (Alltel). I can access NCWW Mobile through Yahoo (works great!) but have to do a search & login each time to access. Then, my active browser doesn't recognize the page address to save to file.
If you'd like to help us test the new mobile ncww, we need your help.
We are looking for any sort of device from an Andriod to a Z-pod :-)
Just reply and I'll get in touch with you to setup the test. Should take maybe 10 minutes tops.
Thanks,
Jim
I just picked up a new Delta 17-950L-6 floor standing drill press and am in need of a mobile base. I didn't see any on the Delta website so I am thinking about going with with the "small" shop-fox adjustable base.
Are there any other mobile bases out there that might be any cheaper?
Thanks,
