    Impact driver won't hold bits

This w/e I had to remove some 1/4" lag bolts from brick. When I tried to remove the drive adapter...it wouldn't release the shank. Pushing and pulling finanly got it loose. However, since then, it won't latch (hold) any bit. Any ideas? Service center is closed until Monday.

Remove bit from Dewalt cordless impact drill

All, I have the Dewalt DC825 cordless impact drill that has a quick release chuck. The only problem is I cannot get the bit out of it. It should pull forward to release the bit but I cannot pull it forward. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to resolve it? Thanks.

    Impact drivers...

I'm a little confused. I just ordered a new 18V Lithium Ion Impact driver and was wondering if it can be useful as a drill as well. I know my other Bosch driver is not suitable for any real drilling due to the lack of RPMs. The Makita impact driver says it has a no load RPM of 0-2300. Do I now...

    Bosch PS40-2 pocket impact driver - $99 @ HD

Heads-up. HD appears to be clearancing the 10.8V PS40-2 Bosch pocket impact drivers for $99. HD has these marked normally for $179. I just bought two kits from the Walnut St. HD in Cary for $99 each and they came pre-bundled with a flashlight. The Cary HD did NOT have these marked as $99, I...

    Impact driver or Driver drill...

So I'm in the market for a new Lithium Ion drill. I've been scoping out the new Bosch and Hitatchi Impact drivers and they look amazing. The reviews especially for the Hitachi is off the charts. I already have the Bosch 10.8V LI driver and a decent Ryobi 18V ni-cad drill. The Ryobi still works...
