    Any Tips on getting a Burl to Grow Bigger?

    While walking our dog over the weekend, LOML & I came across a burl growing on one of our maple trees. It is about 5' up from the ground, and currently about 4"x4". Anything I can do to encourage its growth?

    Turning my first burl

    Rosewood burl pen, wow, this stuff is hard, very hard. Had a blow out but was able to collect the pieces and glue them back in. Letting it dry now, hopefully I'll have a mechanical pencil out of it tomorrow.
