Nakashima_bench_Photo

This project is an interpretation of the George Nakashima Conoid Bench made from a sycamore and walnut. The legs are not conventional Naksahima style but utilize Maloof Jointery. The sycamore seat is a crotch with darker heartwood, quartersawn sapwood and significant flame figure. It has two inlaid walnut butterfly's in the seat and three on the bottom.
I simply LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bench! Its beauty is only surpassed by the artists' execution!
