    Tool gloat

I just brought home a Festool Multifunction 1080 table I bought thru CL for $250. Except for a couple of bolts it is as good as new.

I saw it too. Do you need the festools special circular saw to use it?

Very nice addition Chuck. I saw those tools in action for the first time at the Greensboro show. They were very impressive. I couldn't believe how quiet the vacuum was. Congrats!

I have that too, but I haven't really set it up yet. How difficult is it to take off the rail and miter guage and then re-install them and still have everything to be still in alighnment

    Doug,
Congrats on the MFT (and the Systainer full of tools in the background too!)
    Steve,
I've had mine for ~1.5yrs and never needed to take the fence and miter off. Just use a good square to set it up. Jerry Work has a great link for setting up an MFT here:

But I know I'll want to take them off to use the table for general work too.

That's a great article, but you'll notice that he takes the guide and miter off for a lot of different jobs. But if it is hard to re-align when putting back:shocked7fl: :sad9cd:
