Ebay Sellers of Rare Earth Magnets...Good Products and Good Experiences?

I need some very strong pull 1" and 1/2" disc rare earth magnets and see really good prices and free/cheap shipping from Chinese Ebay sellers. Who have you used and liked?

I order mine from Applied Magnetic (http://appliedmagnets.com/index.php)

The prices are good, they ship quickly. Nice people to do business with and they have an excellent selection.
No job is worth doing unless you can get a new tool out of it.

I have bought them off Amazon. Most likely depends on how many magents you are purchasing, if Amazon is cheaper. But also have to factor in shipping.

Hobby Lobby has them. Not sure if they are priced competitively and here you have to hunt through the shelf display to find them. I believe they are the lower pull of the 3 types of rare earth magnets.

I used amazon smile to get these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    $11 for 2 that have a 145lb pull.

Thanks Ron- I appreciate the reference but unfortunately I can't use them and this rant is in no way directed at you or anyone else who have been helpful in this thread.

This is at the top of my $16 shopping cart from Applied Magnets Superstore:
*Orders Under $19.99 Sub-Total Have A $5.00 Low Order Handling Fee Added During Checkout.

    1. This is the kind of @#$% that drives me crazy about some US and Canadian retailers. Does it cost them more to retrieve and pack my $16 order vs a $20 order or do they just want me to spend $4 more and move more volume?

    2. They are charging me $15 shipping and handling for 6 each 1" and 8 each 1/2" disc magnets from Texas to NC with their least expensive shipping option. Why, when shipping the same exact items (size/weight/strength) from China to NC is free?

    3. Their prices are 2-5 times higher compared to magnets with the same description on Ebay. Are their magnets better? Offer better value? I know their costs for overhead/labor/etc are higher than a Chinese Ebay/Aliexpress/DX/Banggood/etc company and I don't mind paying a little more but come on!

Re: Ebay Sellers of Rare Earth Magnets...Good Products and Good Experiences?

I apologize for not being more specific in my request for feedback and appreciate the feedback I've received so far! The reason I started this thread is to find out if there is any "real" difference in the products and level of service between the Chinese sellers vs the US/CA sellers because I don't trust any feedback I see on any retailer website (US or otherwise) or places like Ebay or Amazon. I just need a handfull of decent ~10-20lb pull magnets.

    Mark,

I have purchased very good quality REM's from Lee Valley Tools. Just use this link and put in "Rare Earth Magnets". All kinds of shapes, sizes and pull strengths.

I placed 10 1/2" x 1/4" rare earth magnets in my shopping cart, $5.20. Not a bad price at all. However, the lowest shipping cost was $19.44! No thanks.
