    I worked at Post Cereals in Battle Creek years ago and some of the really old buildings had end grain floors. Looked like 4X6 blocks but couldn't tell what kind of lumber because of the age and the amount of crude ground into them. They had to be 75 or so years old. Wished I would have taken pictures.

    I can respect the effort it took to contruct that wall. That said, I'd prefer either all end grain or all face grain. Probably face grain on a wall. Just personal preference.
