    North Carolina Woodworkers is a web site, a wood working web site and much more than that it is family. We have been together since 2004 and have two major picnic/gatherings every year and many lunch meetings, shop meets and workshops where we exchange information, improve skills and discuss upcoming projects.


    Last year we had the idea to start a collaborative project to help fund our educational activities. You see, we have a trailer full of tools that goes around the State with a trained crew teaching Wounded Warriors, children and interested adults the basics of woodworking and introducing them to some of the wood working crafts. We call this our Outreach Program.

    This fund raiser is a chest of 24 small drawers. Each drawer will have a different front made by one of our members and/or a famous wood worker/artist. We will auction the chest when it is completed this Fall.

    I'm posting here for two reasons. I'd like to raise awareness of the site, the project and our Outreach program. I would also like to invite additional artists to make a drawer front for the chest. You can read about the project at the link below and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
