My microshop :)

Hi guys.
Been a while since I posted here so I figured id start a build thread on my little one car garage shop.

I do car audio related projects and am now getting into more traditional stuff.

Bear with me as I dont have some if the default tools such as planer jointer drum sander as i work with mostly sheet goods for now.

First off my shop is a carport converted to garage with an attached laundry area that i am swiftly taking over with machinery

My first project was to create Frankensaw. A mesh of a cabinet saw and dedicated contractor saw for my dado blade

These 2 saws will share a biesemeyer fence that i moved to the right of the cabinet saw to accomodate a larger crosscut capacity for the unisaw and still full function for the dado section

I decided to make a little tool cabinet to store hand tools and supplies.
I love the big drawers on my snapon box so i decided to use 26" self closing slides from cshardware.com and make each drawer 48x26 Havent made a faceframe or decided on handles yet so i cobbled together some temporary pulls

I don't think I have ever seen such a frankensaw . Very cool! Thanks for posting.

A basic little rack to hold my cheapy clamps till i can afford jet or besseys. Not that ill ever get rid of the cheap ones though

Now we get to the fun stuff.
My current project is upgrading from my pennstate 1.5 hp bagged Dust Collector to a penn state 3.5 hp tempest cyclone with nano filter cartridges. First i had to get the 6" pvc to the laundry room
Rerouted some temp ac lines and installed duct

Oh wow! So you have the DC in another room? I dont have the nerve to make a hole that big in brick . Right after i drilled i would probably change my mind!
I have a cyclone in my garage and struggled with supporting the PVC and avoiding the garage door. Looks like you just went over the top and all the way across!

Joey, thanks for sharing your work. What you may lack in shop space you more than make up for with ingenuity and imagination...it appears that you also do great work!

Thx guys for the kind words . The DC in the next room helps with noise and might even be a weak 3rd stage of filter since i am isolated from the output of the filter cartridge I took the garage door motor and track down to accomodate the pvc. The next section gets really crazy so stay tuned

Ok i am a tool hoarder no doubt. In my line of work i do multiple cuts on pieces so i splurged over time and saved up for 3 woodpeckers prlv2 lifts and 3 porter cable 7518 router motors. The ductwork here allows for 3 drops to the bottom of the lifts 2 drops for bottom of both saws and a 6th drop which splits at the biesemeyer overarm guard for my saw and a section of stayput hose which i use for over table collection of the routers. When doing rabbets or other work which ride on the bearings i use a floor sweep attached to the hose for phenominal dust collection. MDF dust is hard to control and this has been my best solution so far
