    Compressor fitting

I have an air reel hose that has 3/8" threads. I need a quick disconnect fitting that is 3/8" female on one end (to connect to the hose) and accepts 1/4" plugs on the other end (for nail guns). Anyone know where I can get one in the Raleigh area? I checked Grainger but they're out of stock.

    Have you tried Northern Tool?

This coupler is what I have used in the past....

Besides the Cary store, I think I recall one on New Bern in Raleigh.

I know my Lowes and Home Depot also carry some selection in air fittings (you don't say which style air fitting you are seeking).

Bas, any large commercial auto parts store should have these. I would check Carquest or Napa. Also, Payne's Tool store should have them; J&W Tools in Apex, Durham and Raleigh should have them as well.

    Bas-
I was tidying up last week and found a Campbell Hausfeld coupler that sounds like what you're after.
Its yours if you can use it.
check their part # PA1145 its 3/8 female quick connect on one end and 1/4 male threaded on the other.
I've also got the #PA1001 1/4" female to 3/8" male threaded connector.

    both are new in packages.

let me know if you can use either or both.

That looks like a winner! Can't believe I forgot about Northern tool. I'm driving by the Cary store this weekend, so I think I'll pop in and snag one.

I'm looking for the Industrial style. I checked 2 Home Depots, and they have lots of 1/4" fittings, but no 3/8". Which is sort of weird, because their information displays to show how to connect 3/8" hoses and fittings.

I really appreciate the offer Steve. Unfortunately, neither of those parts work... the connector needs a 3/8 female thread on one end, so I'd need the inverse of the adapter. Same problem at Home Depot/ Lowes, they only carry the male 3/8" to female 1/4".

    Thanks everyone!
