Bolt Action Pen
I decided to give the new bolt action pen kit from Penn State a try. What do you think, coolest thing ever or way too cheesy?

Re: Bolt Action Pen
Looks cool on a stand and might appeal to a hunter or gun nut. It does not look like it would sit in a pocket well. It appears that the bolt would pock the person in the chest. BTW I voted as undecided.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
Although I don't care for the kit, you did a nice job. It looks good on the stand.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
I've been wanting to turn one of these kits I think it would be a great gift for someone that hunts. Looks great!

Re: Bolt Action Pen
The pen is mightier than the...gun?
Looks pretty cool! Agree that this may not be the most comfortable pen to put in your pocket.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
though not a gun-toter myself, I thought this was pretty cool. I agree that I probably wouldn't stick this in my pocket for fear of "shooting" myself in the leg/foot, but I don't routinely put pens in my pocket anyways, so I think for me this is a moot point.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
That kit is definitely on my list! It is just like the 50 cal pen, very cool to look at but not all that practical.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
Excellent job on the pen.

Not sure if the bolt would really bother me as it is rather small, but I could see how some folks wouldn't like it. More of a display pen probably, and a fine one at that.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
That's pretty cool! I can see hunters and gun enthusiasts liking that style.

Re: Bolt Action Pen
............or to the airport...........
As for the bolt/clip issue, I believe clocking the clip around to another position would solve the poking in the chest problem. But this is probably one of those 'leave on the desk' type pens - especially if you work in Customer Service.....WHAT BOX?
