Hello
Hi everyone. I'm Jim. I have been making guitars in my spare time for about six years now. Self taught so it's been slow going but fun and relaxing.
I was born and raised in Raleigh. Moved around a bit as a kid (IBM family) and after high school in the Army. But relocated back to Ft Bragg by the time I was 22. Mostly been here ever since. A few years back my wife and I bought a house in Huntersville for her and the kids. (After 18 years of military life she wanted a calmer setting. ) So I have two mini garage workshops instead of the one real nice one. But they work.
I'm really glad to have found your group. You have an awesome resource here. Thank you.

Re: Hello
Welcome! Some awesome shops to check out in Fayetteville area, but mine is not one. I am sure you are aware of the rather well equipped hobby shop on Pope to supplement your garage shop stuff.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the group. Do you build electric guitars, acoustic guitars or both?

Thanks all. I make both acoustic and electric. More luck with electric but wanting to concentrate on acoustic. I dislike wiring.
