    Present to myself

The good thing about my sons running the sawmill is that I can get some for myself. Instead of sawing for everyone else and only keeping what didn't sell.

Southern IL 9/4 x 5' slab cut Black Walnut crotch For some some strange reason I see a couple guitar bodies in there, I mean the horns are practically almost done

That's some mighty purdy wood Jeff. We'll all be anxious to see what comes out of that log!

Very nice Jeff, you are correct about the natural pre shaping.

Yeah and no end grain to deal with at the neck joint which could be a plus

    Nice haul, Jeff.

Those will be great guitar bodies. Good eye!

I cant seem to locate my reference material at the moment - does anyone know the maximum safe moisture content loss per day on 9/4 walnut?

Thanks Scott - so I recon it's about the same as 4/4 red oak then.
