Where in Raleigh can I get wood drawer slide?
I need to replace a wooden drawer slide on a bedroom dresser drawer. I was hoping to be able to buy one without having to order it, but I can't find where to buy one in the Raleigh/Cary area.
I looked online at Lowes, HD, and Woodcraft; no luck. I stopped by Capital City Lumber; no luck.
Anybody got an ideas?
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Where in Raleigh can I get wood drawer slide?
Most of the wood "under drawer" slides that I have seen are dovetail shaped. This one has straight sides. But I am trying to help a friend and thought it would be easier to just replace what he has than to spend a couple hours making a new one. He doesn't want to switch to a metal slide either.
Can order a new one for about $10, but can't find one in a real store in the area.

Talk to FredP - if he ain't got em - I'm sure he could whip a few out in a matter of seconds. BTW you best not blink cause you'll miss half of the process

Re: Where in Raleigh can I get wood drawer slide?
Encountered a similar problem about 3 years ago, Brian.
Mine broke along its length. I just got lucky I guess. I just removed the screws holding the broken slide, glued it back together with some Titbond II and reinstalled. It has been fine without replacing it since.
Now if it is was broken in the middle, I would have had to replace.
Not sure if this is an option in your case or not.
