Cheap Bearing Heater
Today, I was changing out some bearings on an electric motor. Used puller to remove old ones. Took the new ones, one at a time and set it on top of a 60 watt light bulb (lit of course) for about three minutes. Wearing a leather glove picked up bearing an dropped it onto the shaft.

Re: Cheap Bearing Heater
Just a light bulb to heat up the metal enough to make it expand and it just slide right on the shaft???
