Another WIP crosses the finish line

This particular piece was really hard to get chucked up in the lathe with that handle sticking out like that.....no, wait. This is a scroll saw project. And I don't even have a lathe.
I came across several pieces of 3/8" Mahogany and Spanish Cedar from a co-worker a couple of jobs back. Laid this out ( I'm sorry, I forget where the pattern came from) and cut it during one of my periods of un-employment this year. Finally got around to ordering a face for it. Only to be slightly disappointed. That's just a picture of gears, not actual gears inside the works. Duh!"Not all those who wander are lost"

Re: Another WIP crosses the finish line
Don, that looks great, very classy. I often don't like fretwork clocks because they are too ornate and busy. You've got the right balance of fancy without gaudiness.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around$100$150$200, and I need a few more tools.

I'm not allowed to make anything that takes too long to dust.
Most people who are into preparedness, didn't get there because it makes sense. They got there because they suffered and chose not to suffer again.

Beautiful project Butch.

Woodworking will teach you both patience and how to overcome adversity. The more patient you are, the less adversity you will have to overcome.

Oh, I'm sorry, it's all Mahogany.
