Back on the lathe (Curly sycamore)
I rough turned this large green sycamore blank in January 07
http://www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/data/...s/MOV00591.MPG
Soaked it in DNA and wrapped it up for drying But started new job and had to move
I got back to it Yesterday man this wood is hard but I enjoyed working with it again I hope to post finished pictures soon.

Re: Back on the lathe (Curly sycamore)
Yeh, Nick is back again
. I bet that feels good. I miss seeing your turnings and the advice and info you give on them. I'll be really curious to see if the curl "pops" out of the wood after a while. I turned some curly Sycamore a while back and it was still a little green. I sanded it smooth as a babys butt, and a few days later you can feel the grain of the curl. Kinda cool, but unexpected.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around$100$150$200, and I need a few more tools.
