Thumbs up Back on the lathe (Curly sycamore)

I rough turned this large green sycamore blank in January 07

    http://www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/data/...s/MOV00591.MPG

Soaked it in DNA and wrapped it up for drying But started new job and had to move

I got back to it Yesterday man this wood is hard but I enjoyed working with it again I hope to post finished pictures soon.

Yeh, Nick is back again . I bet that feels good. I miss seeing your turnings and the advice and info you give on them. I'll be really curious to see if the curl "pops" out of the wood after a while. I turned some curly Sycamore a while back and it was still a little green. I sanded it smooth as a babys butt, and a few days later you can feel the grain of the curl. Kinda cool, but unexpected.

:-D Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile :-D

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Heard from a client..."If I had your tools and experience...I could do it myself"
