If you look at what I put up as a logo on this website you can tell that I have no talent.

So I am looking for design ideas for a new logo. Everyone is welcome to give it a try. Even Guests. I have created a public album for you to upload your designs. Logo Album I reserve the right to delete any submission.
if it is pretty funny and not in bad taste I might leave it even if it is not on point.

BTW the current Logo is 640 x 60

Then we all can discuss what people think under this topic. The chosen design will earn the group's undying gratitude and a FREE one year extension to their membership. :rolflm

The winner also get's first shot at designing the new icons

Fairly simple, supposed to look like dovetails. Not really very imaginative. (I suffer from the same lack of design talent that you do! )

Powerpoint and Photoshop.

You can also try using www.Cooltext.com -- you get stuff like this:

Sort of building blocks to see if you like something, then add to it in Photoshop or something...

Just because I put the old logo back up, doesn't mean I'm not looking for a new one. Keep up to good work and and soon as things settle down, I pick or have a vote on a new one

Since you know about kerning, I think you should give it a try. :D

Sorry folks, I've been outta town for a couple of days. I'm proficient with text, deficient with design ::?

I will certainly give it a try, but it will take a few days. Everytime I leave town the site has changed--might I say IMPROVED!

Keep up the good work Steve,

Roger

This image is not showing up on my display. Can anyone else see it???

If I download it to my machine it works fine. I can't find anything wrong](*,)

Ok, I see some of the issue. Roger, you saved the image as CMYK/8. I don't know if this is an issue with the gallery's abilitities or just MS IE or some thing else.

I just changed it to a RGB/8 format and I can see it. Roger how about you. I'll research this try to find out what's happenning, ie limitation, gallery limitation, or just mychine settings.

Anybody have any insight on this issue?

BTW, I really like it. Just not sure the colors are right.

My bad :silent:

Henceforth all images will be RGB :sunny:

After many years of preparing images for print, the CMYK habit is hard to break.
