This may seem petty but how do I get the REPORT BAD LINKS icon on my posting?

Nick, Are you asking why the icon is there or where is the icon. If the latter it is the triangle with the exclamation mark on the bottom left corner.

If the former, a post that you made will not show the icon since why would you want to report a post that you made to the moderators?

I just noticed that the triangle with the exclamation mark is at the bottom of just about everyone's post but not mine and was wondering if I did not set some thing right when setting up my account

It's one of the handy tools Steve gave us so we didn't have to look for it!
