I may have missed this in my search of the How To forum, but how do you save (bookmark) favorite threads for later reference? I'm kind of used to the WoodNet setup where I have a My home page and a list where I can open old threads at will, see new replies etc. Just learning to navigate in the new neighborhood here. Thanks

I think this is right...
While you're in the thread, go to the box at the top called "thread tools" and click "subscribe to thread".
I also believe that posting to a thread automatically subscribes you to it.

Edit:
To get to your subscribed threads click on the "quick links" box at the top menu bar and select "subscribed threads".
Once you're there, you can delete or organize your subscribed threads using the check boxes at the right and the pull down box at the bottom.
Also using the same check boxes and pull down box at the bottom, you can set it to send you an email when there is a new post in that thread....
Kind of a neat feature.

Dan, I don't think NCWWer has a direct equivalent to Favorite Threads. You can use the Thread Tools to "Subscribe" to a thread. An email notification is sent when a new post is made to that thread.

One of the Admins or Websmaster should chime in with a more knowledgeable response. In fact, they probably subscribe to this forum

Dan, there is not have an equivalent function on vbulletin. I went searching for a mod that would do the same thing. I found 2. One just had too many bugs, at least in its current revision, to be used. The other did not use the recommended methods to add functionality to a vbulletin site. By that I mean, the first update to the software would have wiped it out. Since we are three releases behind and I am expecting a major release soon that we will have to apply, there is not much that I can do right now. I'm sorry.

But I will certainly keep a lookout for this.

In the mean time, may I suggest trying the "New Posts" function as a way to organize you viewing.

Much obliged guys. Actually the Quick links/Subscribed threads feature that Chris describes is just what I'm looking for. This will work just fine.I only have one e-mail address, which is my work e-mail address. When home, I need to log on to that LAN to access messages and that was a little cumbersome just to see if new responses were made on threads. I usually don't connect to the work network when at home because the especially thick security firewall there prevents me from seeing any photos posted on web hosting sites and a slew of other sites it deems as a marginally potential threat. So, I'm good now. Thanks and Happy ST. Patricks Day! Faith and Begora!
