Thats one heck of a rehab. And a very stout looking lathe.
I for one love an old tool of any kind. To be able to take one and put it back on the job is bout as good as it gets.

The only old "arn" I still got is an old Craftsman table saw, 18x20 top. Its not much to look at, but it still doing the job.

I don't know the age, but I'm sure its been a while since they put grease cups on one. I was told that at the time it was considered a portable...relative to what, a Mack truck. All two men can do to move it.
