I think I read on one of the WW magazine forums that Delta gave private, scheduled, demos of the new Uni so there wouldn't be big crowds and so those watching could easily see the demo.

That may be true. I never saw them actually cut anything on the demo saws that were in their display. When I asked the guy about the grease fittings to lube where the yoke contacts the front and rear brackets, he said that this was a prototype and these fittings may or may not be on the production model.

FYI the guy said the price point is going to be around $2800 (or $2900-I forget)- with the excuse that the old saw was due for a price increase plus there's more features on the new model.
