Thumbs up

Hey all,

Do any of you play an instrument, and would you mind getting together for a jam session while we're at the picnic. Personally I am musically challenged, but I could get into a little bit music.

If interested, just post and we'll see who we've got.

Jimmy

I've been accused of being a gee-tar player once or twice in the past

I've been barred from singing in 6 states. It's one of the reasons I had to leave The Netherlands. My ability to play an instrument is worse.

But, I'd love to hear other people play!

I play guitar (accoustic). I might be a little nervous playing in front of so many people as I usually play alone sitting on the porch. I'll bring it though if we can recruit some others.

A good way to go about that might be to give this thread some time and see if anybody else wants to play anything and then that group can maybe pick some songs to play and we can all try and learn them if need be. You can't have a party without music.

I'm rusty, but have a 12-string guitar to add to the mix.

No musical talent here at all, but I just want to say thank you guys for keeping my memory green. I gave up alcohol 14 years ago and every now and then I need reminders of why I did so. To stave off negative responses let me say that I firmly believe that there are millions of people who can enjoy adult beverages without ill effects. I am one of many who cannot, if you can, rock on !!!

I play the drums but I know from experience that unaccompanied drumming can only entertain a picnic crowd for 1 or 2 hours tops.

I'll offer again (though there were no takers last time) ... I play a little blues/country harmonica ... I'm no Blues Traveler, but I can tear off a few riffs.

I also have a violin, but no earthly idea how to play it (in case there are some closet fiddlers out there).
- Not completely true ... I can play Amazing Grace, but that is it.

Will

Will,

I will have to let you know when I have my next jam (might not be any in May due to other stuff going on). You aren't far away and a harp player is always welcome.

No musical talent here, lucky to be able to play a CD.
