Just placed my first order with Klingspor's. It appears we do not receive a discount on all items. Is this correct? This is not a problem but I am just curious.

Keye:

You are correct the discount does not cover wood, Festool ,Fien and large power tools, as I recall.

But we do appreciate the discount that they do give us.

Yes I really do appreciate the discounts we do receive.

I was just a little surprised that a bandsaw blade did not receive a discount.

There are also items that are already on sale. Discount doesn't apply there either.

He said he "ordered" - I didn't know we got a discount for that. I thought it was just a walk in thing. Not sure why I thought that, but I did...

Andy,

When I checked out there was a line item for "discount". I just assumed it was our North Carolina Woodworker discount. Could be wrong.

My most recent online order didn't get discounted either. A quick call and they took care of it, and said they will be looking into why it happened. Real good folks.

So we do get the North Carolina Woodworker discount on Online orders? If so, what is the procedure?

Thanks!
Matt

Yes, nothing for you to do according to Klingspor. The information Steve sends them is in their database and should apply when the 'order' name matches. That's my understanding, anyway. I've also ordered on the phone and when the CS rep entered my information the Woodworker 'club' discount came up on her puter screen.

Hi Keye,

Here is the "official" answer to the club discount program! We offer the discount to 99% of our items that you would purchase but there are exceptions.

Wood, Fein Power tools and accessories, Festool, ALL Powered equipment, Sawstop, and sale items - for example Buy 5 get this price type sales are excluded.

Online orders - Guys we have you set up in the system but YOU MUST register with us a Password and Log-on for us to recognize you as a customer. This is done by email or phone call to our customer service department. This way, next time you log in the system it knows you automatically and you can order online and get the discount.

Walk In to stores - If you give us your zip and last name and the system matches your information and YOU ARE DISCOUNT QUALIFIED then you will receive the discount everytime.

NOW - All bandsaw blades should be discounted - PM me and I will get that taken care of.

Hope this helps.

Let me emphasize what Coleman just said. In order to get your discount online,.

1 Create an account on their site.
2 Call or email their Customer Service with your account info.
3 They will then associate your account to North Carolina Woodworker.
4 Now as long as you logon to your account at Klinspor, you then get the correct discount.

Coleman, do I have that correct?
