Wink

What a long strange trip it's been.....

There are a few things out in the world that are definite.

1) Uncle Sam will find you and tax you.

2) Nothing in life is truly free

and last but not least....
3) I have not died, at least not yet !

Since the dark side has tried to affect my life, by getting me the goodwill lathe, I have had no time for wood play. I have not even used the lathe yet and I'm ready to hand it off.

I had always expected a curse from the 'Dark Side', but I thought it would cause me to want everything to be round, not to take away all of my spare time. So I guess that after fashioning an anti 'Dark Side' helmet of Roger's design and wearing it daily, maybe them strange darksiders couldn't get to me. It might also explain why people have been avoiding making eye contact with me, but nevertheless I still haven't succumbed, yet !

I had a lesson from DaveO and it was very cool, it made me realize that you could get a finished wood product(bowl) from a wood blank in just a few hours. I think that maybe Andy, Bas, Trent or just about anyone else ( except for jeff, who may be more hardheaded about it than me) may be ready to give the dark side a shot.

It's time for me to take the helmet off though. My birthday is Monday, which is also the last day of the HF sale on lathes..........maybe with a coupon I can.......no, no.......but maybe....the little men in my head are talking to me.......no, no,no...........

It's time to go , before I get in trouble.

Godspeed,
Jimmy

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Jimmy,

I earnestly pray that things will turn around for you. Life has a way of flipping us upside down and rubbing us in the dirt sometimes. It will pass and you will be a better man for it.

Keep on the path and let us help when we can.

Mike

Jimmy, if you need to get away from it all, try spending a day in Shotwell (for those of you who don't know, it's a suburb or Archers Lodge).

I beg to differ. I can give some unwanted, unneeded and poor advice for absolutely nothing!

And kudos for resisting the Dark Side, I may have to try this approach myself. That way, I'll stop hearing voices....

Welcome back dude.

JIMMY !!!!!!

If there's anyway I can help, name it. If you need to bandsaw, call me. If you want a good laugh, come watch me work in my shop.

I am going to succumb to the dark side soon. I am ruining so much flat stock that I figure I can glue the scraps together and reduce them to sawdust on a lathe.

I hope your back brother, we missed ya!!!

Happy Birthday, Jimmy!!

I have not succumbed to the dark side nor will I. That being said,
Jimmy, if you need to use my band saw buddy, any time.

Welcome Back Dude Happy birthday too...

As for the darkside just remember the sayings of the wise and powerful Yoda. "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will." Say the words over and over again till you can remember them - they are good words, good advise, good counter defense to the temptation of the darkside.

Thanks

I hope things get less troublesome real soon. Looking at the bright side, you are no longer in the Garden State!!!
