Question

I returned to RTP from Charlotte Woodworking show on I-85 Saturday ~2:30-3:30 pm. As I rode east from Charlotte Speedway exit to Salisbury, fire trucks and/or EMS vehicles were on EVERY overpass. Some were inside their vehicles, while others were outside peering over. Almost all of them were over the west bound lanes.

I'm aware of the tragic death of two firemen last week. Guess that could have been related. And I know that occasionally dangerous materials are escorted via interstate . . . though I never saw any.

Totally puzzled
Roger

The bodies of the two firefighters who died in a fire Friday in Salisbury were being transported to Charlotte. The firetrucks were on all bridges showing their support.

Thanks for solving the mystery, Tracey!

A well-deserved tribute to those who choose to protect our lives and property at the risk of their own.
