where's a good place to pick up grinding wheels?

Looking for a good source for 5 3/4" grinding wheels. I had a board fall and brake a couple of brand new ones.

Ouch!! extra strong gravity pocket out your way or what ? Hammers falling off ladders, boards falling down, sounds dangerous in your neck of the woods Seriously , I await responses since I have a slow speed grinder with an odd size wheel I want to get some different grits for .

Re: where's a good place to pick up grinding wheels?

5.75" dia wheels are a strange breed. If they are for a bench type grinder I might consider getting a more standard 6 or 8" grinder whose wheels are easy to find. If the grinder has a more special application and the diameter is important to the application you might try checking with these folks -

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Jeff, try J&L industrial Supply, or Enco. Locally, most industrial supply and welding shops stock an assortment of grinding wheels (as does Graingers on North Capitol Blvd).

Grainger might be first place I'd try, if you or someone you know has an account there. IIRC they do not sell to general public, only to industrial accts or those with registered accts with them.
