Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

If your homeowners is like mine, you can expect ZERO or if you do get something then a courtesy rate hike with be forthcoming. Hopefully, the structural damage was minimal. |

Unfortunately I have high deductibles (keeps the policy cost down), so no matter what I'm going to take a hit.
At least if it had to happen, it happened now instead of 2 weeks from now when all of the insulation would have been sprayed.
You can't tell it from the photo, but about 1/4 of the main roof tin will require replacement, and about 1/2 of the porch. Plus a few rafters...
And what sucks even more, is that the tree fell right on my stockpile of uninstalled tin for the back of the house! ARGH!!!!!!
Pete - I will take very great pleasure in milling that pine tree... the base section is about 18" in diameter so I'll get some decent boards. I'll also have to figure out a suitable use for it - maybe an outhouse or something... |

Outhouse? That's too good for that tree. Chip it up and use it to cover up what's produced in the outhouse!

I feel your pain, as I had an oak fall on one corner of my shop last year. But, Tom and I had it repaired in a day or so. Life goes on!
I agree with Bas. Maybe you could make some roost poles for the chickens out of that pine!

Sorry for the setback, but yes, it could've been much worse.

Time to buy a chainsaw...
