Window manufacturer Jeld-Wen in Oregon is sponsoring a light house restoration initiative. Three lighthouses received new windows and doors in previous contests. In current poll you pick one of twelve lighthouses. North Carolina's Bodie Island Lighthouse in Cape Hatteras National Seashore is one of the candidates.

Go to Jen-Weld website and vote . . . even if you vote for another one
You don't have to register or whatever . . . just vote!

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Another vote for Bodie Island, and as soon as I can get my wife to sit down at the computer I'll get her to cast a vote too.

Lighthouses are worth investing time and money to save much more than many of the other things in this country that we spend money on. Voting for one doesn't even cost anything.

I voted, but only because of heavy peer-pressure.

I also voted, Roger...then it dawned on me. The lighthouse actually belongs to the Coast Guard. The rest of the property is National Park Service. Do you think they would allow anyone to replace the windows/doors on government property WITHOUT Congress and a LARGE Contract being involved??
