Trent -- First, you deserve a Jolly Green Giant
& Grizzly Green YOU SUCK!
for the new bandsaw (although normally just the box doesn't get -- we made an exception this time!).

And a second Blue Sky YOU SUCK!
for the excellent new digs -- but where is the bandsaw going to go?!

Good on you!

Sorry they both came under poor circumstances. So is this a solely a living arrangement or is this roommate a new friend?
Will,

The circumstances were nothing that anyone would want to go through, but they are necessary and I think that we are both better off now. The new roommate is a friend and it is only a living arrangement. However, she does claim to have a lot of single friends.

Great snag on the band saw and new place, but I don't see any waves dude. One door closes and another opens to a beautiful view, so it goes. Well good luck with both.
Thanks Jimmy! Yes, the lack of surf lately has been quite agonizing. I keep thinking that this flatspell will end and it never really does.

Funny how things happen isn't it????? Best of luck to you. The view is fantastic.

AND BTW - YOU SUCK!
My first given suckage I think, but you seemed a deserving case
Thanks so much David! Things definitely do happen for a reason. I'm honored to have been the first...... well, you know.

Forget the walnut for now. You can't put a cold one on a walnut coffee table, so make the Adirondacks, and invite your friend over for an afternoon in the chairs with suds at hand and boats and babes in view.

Head up to Burgaw, see Ivey, get some Cypress, Assemble that Saw and Go For it.
Thanks Jim! Actually, the new roommate is very excited that I do woodworking and was delighted to hear that I would replace the PLASTIC Adironacks with nice Cypress ones.

You young guys never learn!

You get out of the clutches of one ornery hag and fall right in with a younger, better looking, kinder, gentler, livin on the beach... what was i sayin?

Oh yeah, there was this bar in Tuscaloosa called the Screen Door Factory. They made nice wood screen doors during the day and served beer at night, had a great house band and one of those 70s lighted dance floors. What a place, if only it had been on the beach.
I'm not in her clutches though.

I suggest you stick that saw in the living room (you can leave it wrapped up, don't care), call it a shop, and put your name on the Shop Crawl list. Just reserve sunny, warm weather
Thanks Bas! I might just do that......

Old retired folks like me sure wouldn't mind a comfy adirondack on that deck - from about May 1st to September 31st!!!!!!!

It is really great to hear that all is well with ya! You will have to post a pic of the bandsaw, when you get it all set up.
Thanks Wayne! Retired? What does that mean? There will be pics to come of the saw put together and the chairs and you're welcomed to try 'em out.

A new bandsaw, beach view, and a new woman...who you don't have to answer to (hope she's easy on the eyes).
DaveO,

Again, my deepest appology for not being able to get together the other weekend. I was up to my eyeballs in a transitional period, if you will. The next time you are down here, we're going to hangout, you have my word. I really can't thank you enough for inviting me here.

Trent

PS: Yes, she is easy on the eyes.

Mac,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I tried typing a response a few times to your post, but the words never really did it any justice.

Thanks,

Trent

anyways, he is a really nice guy

On a COMPLETELY unrelated topic, it took me 500 posts or so before I figured out the multi-quote thing. So take pride and joy in the fact that you're at least twice as smart as I am!

I still haven't figured it out, but I do know that if he answered each post seperately he would have 9 more posts on his total

I will say that is one of the greatest "multi-quotes" I have ever seen. I didn't know it could be taken to that extent....way to push the envelope

Honestly, I posted this thread, then went to work at the restaurant and we were pretty busy. But in the back of my head I was thinking, "man, how do you do that multiple quote thing?" I got home, read all of the replies and highlighted a few buttons at the top and almost gave up. I had already written a few replies individually before I saw the "quote looking" icon up there, then deleted what I had written and started over from there. That is so funny that you pointed that out because I was mystified over it for such a while.
