Red face

I have had plans to replace my little ShopSmith bandsaw for a while now. My plan was to save for about 6 - 9 months and buy one of the Rikon models like Mike Davis recently purchased.

Then yesterday Mr Hintz posted that beautiful Jet bandsaw for sale and was practically giving it away. I grabbed my credit card and started to send off an email. Then I thought better of it and went out and cleaned up the shop for a while. This morning it was still there. Out came the credit card. I even thought about telling my wife about this wonderful deal because I knew she would tell me to buy it. Not my fault then, right?

Card goes back in my wallet and go outside for some yardwork. Back in later and it was still there. Had the email all done and ready to send. Click Cancel. When I came back in just now I don't know if I can handle another round but low and behold, someone has purchased it out from under my nose! Thank You... I think.

Now that's what you call "resisting!"

Bill,

I consider this a challenge! I will post more soon!
Your resistance is futile. I will lure you in sooner or later! And, then you will have to deal with a new machine! A fate, certainly not worse than death!
Stand by.....

Tom speaks the truth......I have been pulled in by the force of extreme deals on great equipment more than once.
I'm looking for a garage stretcher to make room for the next possible deal!

Wouldn't you like to know!
Actually, so would I. Right at the moment I am way deep in a big video project and need to get that done before moving on to more tools. I expect something will appeaqr in the next couple of weeks if not sooner. I jsut have not looked at the current deals out there. Bedsides, I don't post them before they are ready for sale, sorry. I do it this way to try and make it fair for everyone.

I love the suspense! Tom has been gracious with his offerings to us! It is very hard to resist at times! My whole shop is basically in need of newer tools, but it is hard to pull the trigger. Read today somewhere as a fellows signature....How to be a Millionaire in Woodworking...start with 2 million and keep woodworking until you get to 1 milllion. Something like that! I was thinking that was funny but true in lotta ways for the hobbyist. I try to buy good used tools when available and bite my lips when I start desiring to upgrade, but there are certainly a lot of temptations! But, I always look forward to his offerings knowing 1 of us might get it!

Keep saving your lunch money and get the Rikon, it's really worth it!

Hey, speaking of eating are you planning to have dinner with us Saturday?

When Tom posts a deal, you better get it or it will be gone. Tom's deals are unprecedented values. I have been tempted many times, and succumbed once

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Jon,

First you get the table saw and now the band saw. You are going to have to update your avatar and see if you can fit them both in there. Congratulations, you can gloat all you want on Saturday.
