I think that is the common direction for many many consumers. The value is good and the picture quality is really nice.
Will, there are no companies who will make HD-DVD players after May. They have all formally announced they are bailing on it. Wal-Mart and Best Buy are selling off their remaining inventory and will not stock them anymore. Paramount/Universal are the only movie companies still backing HD-DVD and I am certain you will see an announcement from them very very soon. I have a lot of friends who invested in the HD-DVD and am upset for them. Custom demand has already played out and the result is no longer speculation... I'm lucky b/c I ended up with a Blu-Ray, but it was very very hard for me to bet against Toshiba!!! Toshiba has long been a preference for me....
Regards,
Chris
