SAVE
OUR
FISHING
TRIP

my cousin's boat is similar to the one at this site:
http://www.psndealer.com/powersports...ish11-3DLX.jpg

we put it in the back of my truck, but when it comes to moving the boat from the truck to the water sometimes we carry it like ten to fourty yards.

trying to build some monstrosity. bacically i want to make a handtruck type design, but the bottom plate must be above the tires. I was going to sacrifice a little pull behind spreader for grass seed or furtalizer, take the spreader mech. off and the bin that holds the seed, but the tires wont hold air.

I deally i would be able to take boat off truck, put the back end on the created monstrosity, go to the front of the boat and simply push it.

dragging the boat is no option, too much damage to bottom of boat.

thanks for the ideas.

Michael

Michael, I have an old spreader that you are welcome to have, it is lightweight pull behind style if it will work. Send me a PM with your phone number and when I get back into town tomorrow I will call you and we can get together and see if it will work for you. Only one more weekend out of the shop.

West Marine carries dollies. Either buy one or make something similar.

I made my daughter a dog cart several years ago, got the wheels at Northern, used plywood for the cart. You should be able to make something pretty small that will carry 300 pounds or so for under $50.

Michael,
I do not need the spreadre any longer, the plastic gears are stripped, the tires do hold air for a while, you may need to inflate every couple of months though
