I got up late and tripped in the middle of the floor on the carpet I guess, But I hit my foot somehow and I cant put any weight on my right foot. I think its just behind my big toe.

My wife broke her big toe last week. She waited too long to go to the docs. Now they may have to reset it. Moral to the story... don't wait!

Good luck.

Ok Jon, take the day off with pay. But I don't think oour medical covers broken toes.

Seriously, I hope all is well.

Jon, hope all is well, and it's nothing serious. But if it is - speedy recovery!
What Cathy said: Go get it looked at.

Jon, I've broken or dislocated a toe several times. If it's crooked, give a yank 'til it's straight. Going to the doc costs money and they rarely do much about a broken toe. Although it can be painful, there's little you can do to accelerate healing.

BTW, I'm a documented klutz so dings and cuts are frequent occurrences

Happy healing,
Roger

Jon,

If you can move or wiggle the toe it usually (meaning maybe) indicates it is not broken. You may have just staved it, either way a cold compress will keep the swelling down.

Keeping the weight off of it and seeing the doc is not a bad idea.

Hope you feel better.

Ray

its not really my toe. its my foot right behind my big toe. My toe hurts but my foot really hurts. Its not broken or x-rays say its not. its bruised and I am supposed to stay off of it.

Ouch, hope it heals soon

Reminds me of when I broke my little toe on a vacuum 'someone' left in the hallway after I'd gone to bed.

-OW! I think I broke my toe.
-Went to doctor and told the receptionest 'I think I broke my little toe'
-Waited 90 minutes to get called back to see the Doc.
-Told the nurse 'I think I broke my little toe.
-Waited 30 minutes for the Doc. to come in
-Told the Doc. 'I think I broke my little toe
-Doc. says, well let's get an X-Ray to be sure
-45 minutes to complete the X-Ray
-Doc. says 'Yep', you broke your little toe
-I says. O.K., fix it up
-Doc. says 'Sorry' nothing I can do except bandaid it to it's big brother beside it
-I says 'WHAT!!!
- I then pay $100 for the visit and X-Ray and leave with a bandaid and a sore little toe

Better call the Toe-truck
Seriously , it best to have it checked out, but there usually isn't much that can be done. Ice is going to be your friend, and elevate it. The swelling is what is causing most of the pain.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Park yourself in bed and elevate the foot. Ice packs help a lot.

I'd recommend you get one of those hand bells you can ring so LOYL can bring you beverages or food when you need it!

Seriously, I hope it heals quickly.

LMAO!

I could just see the look on the LOML's face if I tried to pull that. "As much as my back has been hurting I haven't got one massage........................................... .................................................. ....................."

Yeah, I'd say you're better off locating the remote, getting yourself some beverages and food and keeping it right there on the nightstand. Maybe try to finagle something else out of it.

Nah, seriously though, someone dropped a file cabinet on my foot a few years ago and it hurt in the middle like you're talking about for about a week. I just worked through it everyday and when I got home I put a six pack on ice and elevated and iced the foot (not necesarily with the six pack, you know what I mean)

Good luck, I hope it gets better!
