Boy did I just learn a lesson. Had the post typed but decided to look at a picture before posting. When I hit the back arrow everything I had typed had disappeared. When your fingers are not working just right, and you are a poor typist to begin with, this is not a good thing.

Decided ordering and reading some woodworking books would be a good way to spend time before and after by surgery on Aug. 19. Cutting my beard off in prep for the surgery did not take very long. Having to sit and wait and think about someone cutting my throat does not make be feel all warm and fuzzy.

Just checked on an order and found it "shipped via DHL delivery by USPS" arggggg. I hate this system. It will take forever to arrive. I had a delivery from Medco take four weeks. Maybe living in the country confuses them.

Forget who said this would be a good time to up my post count but I bet you can tell this is what I am doing.

Keye -- you learned the hard way on both issues -- if you open a new window or redirect while in Quick Reply mode, everything you typed in the Message window goes bye-bye. DAMHIKT -- done it many times . Hope the DHL/USPS thing works out OK.

Keye,

Before you navigate away from the window where you've been typing, select everything you typed and hit CTRL-C (i.e., Copy). Windows will copy everything to the Clipboard where it will remain until you get through looking at pictures or whatever (as long as you don't Copy something else in the meantime). Just type CTRL-V (i.e., Paste) when you get back to restore everything back into the now empty window. Hope I'm not stating the obvious but I've been burned too so I do this most of the time if I'm not sure the Back button will be friendly.

MLCS has shipped router bits using the DHL / USPS method for years. Never had any problems, especially as the postman knows where I live. DHL "drop ships" to local post office, and mailman delivers. When you think about it, it is a good idea, as long as it works. Any overnite packages that you ship through post office, are handled by either Fed Ex, UPS, or DHL. Airlines no longer take packages from post office. USPS only owns so many planes.
